Which languages does this cover?
Stay Sea Mermaid is mostly language-agnostic. It writes about the process of learning, which is broadly shared, and reaches for specific languages as examples rather than as the subject.
I am stuck at the same level and have been for months.
That is the plateau, and it is a regular topic here. The short version is that early progress is easy to see and later progress is not. The issues go into what actually helps and what only feels like it does.
Is this a course, with lessons in order?
No. Each issue stands on its own. There is no sequence to keep up with, no login, and nothing to buy. It is free, and reading it out of order costs you nothing.
What happens if I stop opening the issues?
Opens and link clicks are counted, so addresses that go quiet for a long stretch are dropped from the list. The measurement exists to avoid mailing people who have drifted away, not for anything else.
Where do my details go?
The list is never sold, rented, or handed to anyone. The form does record your address, the page you signed up from, your IP and the time — you tick the consent box first, and one click in any email removes you.
Sometimes there is an advertisement in the letter.
Some issues carry an offer from a third party. It is marked as such when it appears. The advertiser runs its own site and is responsible for whatever it says and does there.
How should I test whether I am actually improving?
Honest self-testing is a recurring theme, because most of it is quietly rigged in your favor. The issues look at methods that resist that, from timed reading to translation you cannot fudge.
